Damnoen Saduak Floating Market Tour (included roundtrip transfer in city centre)

Take a half-day tour from Bangkok city limits to you explore the floating markets of Damnoen Saduak with a stop at Mae Klong railway market. Travel by boat to cruise past vendors selling fresh produce, handmade sweets, and souvenirs as a guide unpacks the secrets of these 19th-century canals.

Start your tour with a pickup from your hotel and be driven about 100 km southwest of Bangkok to Ratchaburi Province. On the way, visit the Mae Klong railway market, also known as Talad Rom Hup, roughly translating to the “umbrella pulldown market”.

See how the shop fronts are moved back from the rails when the train approaches. Then, hop on a boat to continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, pointing back to a time when water transport was the primary mode of transportation.

Marvel at the variety of fresh fruits, fragrant flowers, colorful clothing, and souvenirs on offer along the waterways. Walk around and check out the many stalls or rent a paddle boat (at your own expense) to ride through a maze of traditional canoes and soak up the market atmosphere out on the water.

Continue to Lao Tuk Luck Market (Old Damnoen Saduak Market), an ancient floating market offering a glimpse into Thailand’s traditional-style houses. Witness traders practice the old way of selling fruits, vegetables, and more.
